Excellent opportunities have arisen to join the Merseyrail Operations Team as a Train Manager
The role of a Merseyrail Train Manager is very much multi-disciplined as they are required to provide high standards of customer service to our passengers thus enhancing customer experience, as well as ensuring that the train is operated as safely and as punctual as possible. Our Train Managers deliver excellent on-board customer care including information and communication, revenue protection assistance and security ensuring that the train environment and presentation meets customers’ needs. We expect you to adopt a professional approach to your role and be fully committed to your role as a Train Manager.

Shortlisted applicants will be invited to a *selection day and if successful invited to sit the *Psychometric test which will include a series of competency-based exercises. We are looking for successful candidates to start on 8th April 2024 and therefore you will be required to attend ALL assessments and *medical appointment at short notice. Furthermore, the role of a Train Manager is a safety critical role and all successful applicants will be required to pass a *safety critical medical, therefore the job offer would also be subject to passing the required medical.
Please note: the vacancy for the Train Manager role is based at Birkenhead Central Depot or Southport Depot only and transfer to an alternative Depot will not be permitted in the first 12 months of employment if successful.
The training rate for this post is Trainee Train Manager £23,420 rising to £31,230 on successful completion of the 8 week training programme and you must be able to attend the FULL course.
