We are seeking a Project Co-ordinator to join the Merseyrail Project Management team. This crucial role will provide essential support, acting as the central hub for project information and documentation. Reporting to the Senior Project Manager, the Project Co-Ordinator role is an essential part of any Project team, as it plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth functioning of the project and team.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining Project Documentation- You'll be responsible for gathering and consolidating project updates, ensuring all information is readily available.
- Reporting to Senior Leadership- Prepare clear and concise project reports, keeping senior management informed of project progress.
- Coordinating Project Lifecycle- You’ll play a key role in coordinating the entire project lifecycle, ensuring timely submission of updates, project initiation documents, and business case proposals.
- Action Planning & Risk Management- Assist in developing action plans and identifying potential risks and opportunities for projects within the team.
- Project Governance- You'll be instrumental in coordinating project governance, ensuring adherence to established procedures and deadlines.
To be successful in this role, you'll possess:
- Excellent organisational skills and a meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues across departments.
- The ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and prioritise effectively.
- Experience working in a project management environment (desirable).
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project) and essential office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
The successful candidate must have the ability to be flexible in their work approach and be a highly effective communicator with well-developed inter-personal skills that gain the confidence internal senior stakeholders, customers and suppliers alike.
