Greater Anglia Customer Service Pre-employment Study Programme
Have you got limited or no work experience on your CV? Are you not sure about what your next career step should be? Or perhaps you are curious and would like to learn more about the railway industry and gain qualifications at the same time. If you answered yes, then please read on as we might have an answer to all your questions with an opportunity that is exactly what you need right now!
This Pre-employment study programme opportunity is a government-funded initiative, its objective is focused on equipping young people who are currently not in employment, training or education with the skills and experience that employers are looking for. Each year Greater Anglia offers a selected number of young people to jump on board to experience working life on the railway. 12-week pre-employment study programme combines qualification with a hands-on placement at one of our hub stations.
This is a fantastic opportunity to gain work experience and get an insight into one of the country's leading rail network operators! If you are successful, you will be based at one of our hub stations (Chelmsford, Colchester, Cambridge, Norwich, London Liverpool Street and Stansted) alongside experienced colleagues and management who will support and introduce you to the ins and outs of the trade.
Greater Anglia partners with Central Training Group to deliver a programme that helps unlock your greater potential and gives young people confidence and a stepping stone with much-needed work preparation training and experience needed to get an apprenticeship or future employment.
Over the years Greater Anglia have had some brilliant and ambitious young people complete the programme. As a result, some have applied and successfully progressed into roles within the business. Some have since enrolled in Greater Anglia’s apprenticeship programme to further upskill and develop their knowledge, skills, and behaviours.
What this will lead to:
After successful completion of the programme, not only will you gain much-desired work experience to add to your CV, but you will also receive a certificate of completion and a letter of reference to support future job applications.
