Operations and Commercial Trainer (Senior Conductor)

Location - Central Birmingham

To strengthen our training team, we are now looking to recruit a Conductor Operations and Commercial Trainer on a full-time, permanent basis, who will deliver key operational training programmes such as Core Rules and Personal Track Safety to Senior Conductors and front-line staff.

This would be an exciting opportunity for an experienced Conductor, to pass on their knowledge and experience of the rail industry to others, gaining accredited training qualifications, whilst maintaining their own competency as a Senior Conductor.

 

What will the role involve?

  • Designing and delivering innovative operational training programmes for our trainee Conductors, Dispatches and front-line colleagues.
  • Ensuring the delivery of safety critical knowledge, rules and regulations, to meet railway standards.
  • Delivering initial and refresher personal track safety programmes.
  • Assessing trainees’ achievements and providing professional feedback. 
  • Working closely with other teams and departments to ensure programme are evaluated and updated to reflect industry best practice.

What you need to demonstrate to be successful in the role:

  • Over 2 years’ operational experience in as a qualified Senior Conductor.
  • A natural ability to communicate with people at all levels.
  • Motivated, keen to be part of a dynamic team delivering quality training.
  • Proactive, organised and able to work independently.
  • Sound knowledge of the Microsoft suite such as PowerPoint, Word, Excel
