Role Details  

  • You will be working an average of 35 hours per week
  • A combination of early, late, night weekend and bank holidays. 
  • Earliest shift times will start at 0600 am, latest finish 02:00am.
  • You must be able to arrange your own transport to ensure timely arrival.
  • It is a requirement that candidates can reliably travel to and from their agreed booking location at the scheduled times. 
  • Full training and uniform are provided upon joining. 
  • Please note that applicants must be 18 years of age or older. 
  • The successful applicant will be required to attend a medical, as all offers are subject to passing a safety critical medical.

About the Role  

The purpose of this role is to provide a safe environment whilst delivering effective customer service and seeking opportunities to enhance the customer experience at our station.   

Duties include but are not limited to:  

  • Create a welcoming environment while providing pro-active assistance to customers on and off trains. 
  • Maintain and feel comfortable providing top notch customer service in a fast-paced environment.
  • Support customers with mobility impairments to ensure a smooth journey. 
  • Collaborate with Drivers and Conductors to ensure smooth communication and service. 
  • Comply with safety regulations, reporting faults and hazards as necessary, as you will be responsible for the safe and punctual dispatch of trains. You’ll be invited to a 5-day Dispatch course. 
  • Collaborate with other areas of the business when required to ensure operational efficiency, whilst providing support and assistance to customers during disruption.
