Join Our Team as Engineering Trainer at across Greater Anglia Engineering locations.  

The Role    

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Engineering Trainer with a background in engineering education and development to join our team. You will be responsible for designing, delivering, and managing comprehensive training programs that enhance technical skills, ensure regulatory compliance, and support the ongoing professional development of our engineering colleagues. 

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Design and deliver internal training courses as required, such as Personal Track Safety, Designated Person etc in accordance with industry best practice.  
  • Deliver job specific training to Engineering and other GA colleagues that undertake activities at the main Depots and out-based locations as required. 
  • Work in conjunction with the Engineering Training and Assessment Manager and wider Engineering team to assist in identifying and delivering training needs. 
  • Support the Engineering Training and Assessment Manager in planning and/or undertaking competency assessments to meet statutory and business needs. 
  • Maintain records of training and competence assessments of colleagues within the specified GA system.

  • Ability to work collaboratively and showcase interpersonal skills across the departments and external training providers 
  • Familiarity with engineering training requirements including train servicing 
  • Demonstratable training and assessment skills 
  • Flexibility to meet the training requirements across the GA network including delivering training outside of normal office hours
