An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our VITA team as a VITA Supervisor on a permanent basis, located at Norwich Station.
The Role
Our VITA team operate 7 days a week across a roster which necessitates overnight working, early starts and late finishes. We work every day of the week including Sunday supporting customers using ticket machines on the Greater Anglia network.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide customers with assistance making transactions at station ticket machines.
- Serve as the primary source of customer information via Option 0 on the main advertised telephone number.
- Deliver Real Time Train Running Information (RTTI) to customers through the customer-facing telephone system, providing around-the-clock updates on train services and engineering works.
- Use a variety of industry and GA-specific tools to deliver quality support to customers and colleagues.
- Perform administrative duties to support other departments.
- Act as the main point of escalation or assistance, listening to, handling, and resolving situations that impact job performance or team motivation.
- Report to the VITA Team Leader and actively participate in collating data for reporting purposes

- Have a friendly, approachable demeanor with the ability to communicate effectively through written and verbal communication. As a supervisor you will need to be able to use these skills to effectively motivate the team.
- Are calm under pressure, able to think on their feet, and able to handle various situations
- Possess a “can-do” attitude and enjoy working as part of a team
- Take pride in providing top-notch customer service and passionate in ensuring customer safety
- Have team spirit and bring your unique self to strengthen our team and foster a positive work environment.
- A problem solver, as the role will encounter many different situations, whilst always maintaining integrity.
