An exciting opportunity has arisen for Controllers in our new Abellio Rail Replacement Team, based in the West Midlands. The successful applicants will assist in coordinating and managing day to day rail replacement activities for West Midlands Trains and road transport requirements for Event Connect

The Role:

• Based within the West Midlands Trains Control Room the Controllers will arrange road transport at times when the train service is disrupted
• Provide Control Room support for Event Connect
• Responsible for the quality of our customer-focused response
• To provide efficient and effective administrative support including operator compliance, taxi billing reconciliation, job close downs, weekly availability checks to operators and base timetable schedule building.
• Maintain Major Roadwork Planner and Major Events Diary that may impact on ARR/Event Connect operations
• Work effectively with external suppliers and colleagues
• Have a duty of care for the health and safety of yourself and your colleagues at all times, including a duty to report unsafe acts or omissions to safety
• To undertake any other duties commensurate with the role.

The Candidate:

• Individuals who can develop effective working relations with suppliers and colleagues
• Can handle high pressure situations in a calm and logical manner
• It will be desirable if applicants can demonstrate previous experience administering logistics or passenger transport
• The posts involve shift-working on a rota basis covering Early, Late and Night shift patterns
