An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Customer Service Assistant (Retail) to join our Passenger Services team based at Wolverhampton station.  This role is part time working 17.5 hours per week over 2 days and will be on a 9 month fixed term basis.  You will be required to provide a consistently high standard of customer service on behalf of West Midlands Trains in line with ATOC retail sales agreements, particularly during service disruption.  You will need to comply with all booking office procedures ensuring a safe and effective work place for staff and customers.

Duties will include:

Assist in establishing a safe and efficient working environment for both staff and customers at the station.
Adhere to security evacuation procedures in accordance with local emergency arrangements.
Assist with implementation, monitor and evaluate agreed changes and improvements to customer service and product delivery.
Assist and comply with the process of purchasing tickets, or simple timetable enquiries by queue combing.  Help with the use of ticket vending machines.
When floor walking be visible and proactive in all dealings with customers.

This role involves shifts and weekends and you will be required to wear uniform. All successful new entrants will be required to undergo a criminal records check, Right to Work verification, referencing and full medical assessment including a drug and alcohol screen.
