Depot Manager

We have an exciting opportunity for a Depot Manager to join our Engineering Team at Norwich Crown Point Depot.

Role and Accountability:

You will provide leadership and direction for Norwich Depot and line of route teams as required within the business. Ensuring sufficient labor capacity and capability exists to meet both safety and compliance obligations, whilst delivering key operational indicators.

As a direct report to the Head of Production, you will be focused on delivering a complete fleet management model for Greater Anglia also enhancing the customer experience in line with the company’s vision and values. Lead and develop the strategy to support engineering production management, to ensure an optimal cost-efficient plan in line with any franchise requirements and company’s financial model.

Develop the depot to maintain legacy fleet performance whilst introducing a new fleet of trains for the route, also focusing on unit handback and dilapidations. Interface with Stadler and other support functions as required. Accountable for the delivery of maintenance activities on the relevant rolling stock; conducted in accordance with prevailing statutory and industry requirements and overseen by the Engineering Compliance function.

Experience, knowledge and Qualifications Required:

The post holder will have proven experience of leadership in a complex organization. 5 years or more experience in managing staff and have proven ability to lead and manage people through change. You will be an excellent communicator with the ability to work effectively with others in the Company outside engineering

Sound understanding of business and financial managements techniques. Understanding and experience of how to improve quality of service through cultural change and organizational development whilst delivering demanding cost and performance targets.
