West Midlands Trains has an exciting opportunity for a Marketing Executive to join the Commercial Team based at our Head Office in Birmingham on a 2 year fixed term contract.  This is a fantastic time to join West Midlands Trains. We operate services in and around the West Midlands, now called West Midlands Railway (WMR) and services from the North West to London, now called London Northwestern Railway (LNR).

In this role you will be responsible for supporting the sales and marketing team to deliver activities for both WMR and LNR brands.  Working closely with the Senior Digital Marketing Executive on CRM you will build, test and deploy email campaigns.  You will work with the Marketing Managers of both brands to help create a content strategy and provide community management for marketing-led activity, help write informative & effective copy, schedule / boost posts, brief / liaise with the customer relations teams as required, generate assets in-house and work with agencies to develop and deploy campaigns.  You will manage the day-to-day website content updates monitor time sensitive information & business changes and adjust accordingly.  Responsibilities will also include proactively keeping internal comms up-dated with activity and developing ways to inform the wider employee population and keeping all content libraries updated.

In order to be considered for this role you will have previous experience acquired in a digital marketing environment, sound understanding of marketing principles, be educated to degree level ideally with marketing qualifications.  You will demonstrate strong copywriting skills with the ability to deliver under tight deadlines.  As a logical thinker you will also possess excellent organisational / admin skills and effective project management ability.
