We currently have an exciting opportunity for relief driving instructors to join the Human Resources team at various depots. You would join a busy and demanding team and so we’re looking for top quality, flexible and reliable candidates who can bring new ideas and ways of working to help the team achieve its objectives. You will play a key part in contributing towards driver training by training provisional drivers through to test standard and beyond.

The Role

As a relief driving instructor you will be working with new and existing drivers to ensure they can deliver the highest quality of driving standards using corrective measures and training them how to drive to the Abellio standard. You will be training provisional PCV holders up to driving test standard and classroom theory to pass the PCV theory tests. This role requires flexibility with days and hours of work to meet deadlines. This may include weekends and shifts.

Job Requirements

These roles will contribute to the success of Abellio London by ensuring we have top quality, safe drivers joining our business. As a result we’re looking for top quality individuals to make this happen.  The requirements for the role are:

• Minimum 3 full years of bus driving experience
• Full and clean driving licence – no points
• Clean record for driving standards – i.e. no avoidable collisions, poor driving assessments or complaints about driving for 2 full years
• Flexible, reliable and enthusiastic
• Ability to work weekends and a variety of shifts including earlies and lates. (6am to 2pm and 2pm to 10pm)

Training

We will put all successful applicants through a Train the Trainer course as well as further development in the role.
