We have an exciting opportunity for a Welcome Host to join our team At Cambridge North Station
Role & Responsibilities
The purpose of the role is to provide a safe environment whilst delivering excellent customer service at all times and seeking opportunities to enhance the customer service experience at the station. You will ensure that customers are extended a warm welcome, providing proactive assistance with ticket purchasing from the machines and providing information to customers as required throughout the station.
You will be responsible for all matters regarding safety, security, cash regulations and maintenance of the ticket machines. Be responsible for maintaining security of the station premises at all times and carry out winter precautions as per station arrangements. This role will also include station cleaning and security checks as part of your daily duties.
This is a full time post and the roster is over seven days with shifts ranging between 0500 start and 2000 finish. The salary for this role is £26,517 plus an addition of annual allowances of Shift Allowance (£1,671) and Sunday Allowance (£1,964)
Experience, Knowledge & Qualifications
You will have a high level of professionalism, positive attitude, and be proactive, friendly and open when dealing with our customers. Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills are crucial for this role. You will remain calm under pressure, show integrity and be flexible and adaptable to change.
You will be required to wear full uniform and a medical will be required upon successful interview
