An opportunity has arisen to join West Midlands Trains as Depot Manager, Tyseley at what is, an exciting time. With the Class 196 arrival to the business and depot infrastructure upgrades in progress, there is a lot of change going on, and the Head of Fleet Production is looking for an individual to lead the team at Tyseley and manage this change. This role is a Full-Time Permanent position.
The successful applicant will need to set and deliver a depot strategy, whilst looking at continually improving how we operate safely. As well as having previous experience of leading, supporting, motivating and directing staff across 2 locations, possess a minimum management qualification of ILM5 in addition to Personal Track Safety certificate, NEBOSH, Internal assessors award and Internal auditor award. Experienced in Railway Maintenance practices and procedures, you will demonstrate several years practical mechanical/electrical experience in traction, rolling stock and plant and machinery. You will possess strong communication skills and the ability to motivate and deal successfully with external stakeholders and customers. Knowledge of financial and contract management would be useful.
