We have an exciting and challenging opportunity to join our Finance Team as a Procurement Manager based at our office in London, Stratford (One Stratford Place).

We are seeking a procurement professional with proven experience in procurement, and implementation and management of commercial contracts to help deliver value-led outcomes within the rail industry. 

The successful candidate will be responsible for guiding and supporting the business in procurement activities in line with the Greater Anglia and Abellio procurement policies, and where necessary EU Utilities Procurement Guidelines.   

The ideal candidate will be required to identify cost saving opportunities within defined categories and Liaise with the Franchise Team and the Department of Transport to obtain approval of Key Contracts in line with the Franchise Agreement. You will prepare and negotiate contracts and contract amendments necessary to meet business requirements and franchise commitments/obligations

The successful candidate will have:

Experience of tendering under EU Procurement Utilities Contract Regulations or Public Contract Regulations.
Sound commercial and financial awareness.
Good working knowledge of contract law.
Good communication and negotiating skills.
Ability to multitask and manage several concurrent/conflicting projects and deadlines.
Ability to work collaboratively with a range of individuals and teams in order to drive ongoing value for Greater Anglia.
Working towards or hold Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply Qualification (MCIPS)
Strong Procurement experience across a wide range of goods and services. Knowledge of construction related Procurement an advantage but not essential.

This role will report to the Head of Procurement.
