Be part of something rewarding, by joining Greater Anglia you’ll be helping our customers get from A to B. With a staff of over 2,500, we operate a busy commuter service from London Liverpool Street to destinations across the east of England.
We have an excellent opportunity within our Customer Service Team at Witham & Chelmsford for a Customer Service Train Dispatcher.
You will work at two of our hub stations on a single shift of Mondays to Fridays, 35 hours per week on permanent late turn only, covering Train Dispatch and Customer service.
Experience in train dispatch is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided for the right candidate.
The successful candidate must possess excellent customer survive skills and will be expected to undertake light station cleaning as part of their duties.
You should have the willingness to help customers and colleagues with a friendly, proactive approach.
You will refer to operating notices / engineering notices with regard to train service alterations, in order to limit disruption as a result of engineering work as far as practicable.
You must be flexible and have exceptional customer service skills. You will have a high level of professionalism, positive attitude, and be pro-active, friendly and open when dealing with our customers. Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills are crucial to this role. You will have the ability to remain calm under pressure, show integrity, and be flexible and adaptable to change.
