You will lead on the development and delivery of resourcing strategies and solutions. Working in collaboration with all stakeholders, you will understand and deliver key resource requirements. You will ensure the development of resourcing strategies that meet both current and future organisational needs. The team manage high volume recruitment coupled with specialist inclusive talent acquisition which will generate a wide range of activities. You will need to be a leader with a resilient personality and an ambitious approach to recruitment and all associated activities. You will be someone who can foster a supportive, agile and collaborative environment to join us within this role on a full-time, permanent basis.
Key responsibilities:
- Responsible for key resourcing strategies that meet both current and future organisational needs, to attract talent and fulfil critical resource requirements.
- Act as the recruitment subject matter expert on employee resourcing strategies to provide innovative, cost effective and timely solutions.
- Exploit social media and other professional networks, with the ability to undertake proactive and inclusive attraction that has a direct impact on talent pipelines. Recommend ways to improve the West Midlands Trains employer brand.
- Manage senior client relationships and attend leadership meetings to review our service and report back on recruitment and selection initiatives, devising and implementing recruitment and supporting on workforce plans, campaigns and activity within agreed deadlines.
- You will have a unique understanding of the complexity of psychometric assessments, competency and values-based assessments coupled with an in-depth knowledge of bespoke resourcing practices.
- Forecast monthly revenue against business plan objectives and manage cost base effectively. Contract manage all external suppliers including recruitment agencies, advertising agencies, job boards, system providers, testing providers etc. Contract Management of PSL and recruitment solutions.
- You’ll be making the most of metrics and data to evaluate campaigns ensuring the effectiveness of resourcing initiatives and commission improved interventions. You’ll promote a can-do, world-class provision focussed on the improving experience of our customers.
- Actively encourage and promote a more diverse and inclusive workforce in all resourcing initiatives, and support and comply with all organisational initiatives, policies and procedures on Equality, Diversity and Inclusion.
- Deputise for the Head of HR as and when required.
We have high expectations of this role and believe it is a great opportunity. To be successful in this role, you should:
- Have a degree in an HR related field with CIPD qualification.
- Be BPS Level 1 & Level 2 qualified.
- Have expert knowledge of recruitment with demonstrable experience in an inhouse Senior Recruitment role, delivering a resourcing function, displaying in depth understanding of the end-to-end recruitment process.
- Have expertise in social media and other professional networks, with the ability to undertake proactive inclusive attraction that has a direct impact on talent pipelines.
- Have a solid understanding of employment legislation and compliance to recruitment and industry specific laws and requirements; including referencing, redeployment and immigration processes.
- Recommend ways to improve the employer brand as an inclusive employer of choice.
- Have experience of team leadership including engagement, motivation and workload management.
- Have exceptional customer service and stakeholder management with strong influencing and negotiation techniques, able to adapt style as required to persuade and gain support of stakeholders.
- Have an understanding of equality diversity and inclusion including the importance of this being embedded throughout the recruitment and onboarding processes.
