West Midlands Trains are looking for a customer-focused HR Officer to join us on a full time, permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a busy, professional, high quality HR Services Team - to help grow your knowledge and experience, as well as contribute ideas to help us meet the changing demands of our service.

As the first point of contact, you will provide a wide range of HR service or support for our line managers and employees across various events of their employment lifecycle; from joining the business to position & pay changes, occupational health, and employee benefits, through resolving general HR enquiries and administering processes in line with relevant policies and legislation. Other responsibilities include preparing, collating and recording information in compliance with GDPR regulations, and contribute to reporting statistics by updating and maintaining accurate data records.  

The ideal applicant will be flexible, resilient and an excellent team player, and already have broad experience in HR and maintaining administrative processes. As a CIPD level 3 qualified individual or equivalent (or working towards a CIPD), and demonstrating excellent HR service through a variety of methods including telephone and face to face interaction, you must also have the ability to build strong working relationships at all levels, and have experience in dealing with confidential matters.

Confident use of Microsoft Office applications, computerised HR systems, and experience of using SharePoint, will also be advantageous.
