A great opportunity has arisen to work as a Driver Manager on Merseyrail.
As a Driver Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of train drivers in ensuring operational safety whilst directly impacting and improving train performance. Above all, you will play a key role in delivering customer service excellence and customer satisfaction targets.
To be considered for the role, you will need a minimum of four years continuous and recent train driving experience (ETDL regulations), a thorough knowledge of operational rules and regulations and an understanding of managing safety and quality standards. You will need to be comfortable in assessing driving competence, updating route risk and safety information and developing driver training.
The successful candidate will be an exemplary leader with a proven track record of motivating and inspiring teams whilst demonstrating a genuine passion for customer satisfaction. Having the drive and determination to deliver business objectives in a demanding operational environment is also essential. You will need excellent communication skills and you’ll be at ease liaising with a number of stakeholders across the business.
Naturally, you’ll have a strong understanding of the rules, regulations; safety and quality standards associated with train driving and possess exceptional attention to detail skills and have a good understanding of non-technical skills.
The role will involve shift work and on-call duties; therefore it is important that you hold a full driving licence.

Successful candidates may be invited to complete an online assessment and attend a competency based interview.
