We have an exciting opportunity for a Welcome Host to join our team at Ely Station. This is a fixed term contract which is expected to last up to 12 months.

The Role

The purpose of this role is to provide a safe environment whilst delivering excellent customer service and seeking opportunities to enhance customer experience at our station. You will assist with events and the high level of passenger numbers through Cambridge station.  

Creating a welcoming environment whilst providing pro-active assistance to our customers on and off trains is important in this role.

Your responsibilities include all matters regarding to safety, security, and customer service. 

This is a full time post and the roster is over seven days with shifts ranging between 0700 start and 2000 finish.. The role entails an average of 35 hours per week

Full uniform will be provided, to ensure that you embrace our values and brand as a business.

What we are looking for

We are looking for a colleague who has a high level of professionalism and a positive attitude. The ideal candidate should be pro-active and friendly when dealing with our customers.

Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills are crucial for this role. This role will require you to remain calm under pressure whilst maintaining integrity at all times. You must be flexible (in your working hours).
