The role

Our finance team at the Abellio Glasgow HQ are looking for an excellent Travel and Accommodation Administrator to join their small and busy team, initially for a 6-12 months fixed term period, with a possibility of further extension or permanent role afterwards.

The successful candidate will support the business as a whole with a wide range of administrative tasks relating to travel expenses, including but not limited to: booking and managing travel arrangements for the business, controlling our expenses process and supporting our finance team.

This is a diverse role where any highly motivated candidates who are keen to learn and expand their knowledge and experience can find something exciting to be involved in, whilst working with a wide range of people from all functions and at all levels. As we are the UK HQ of Abellio, our small team gets involved in, and often drives, various exciting projects that this role could also be a part of. The limit of your personal growth and development in this role depends on you only – we will give you the opportunity, you need to bring the drive and input.

The ideal candidates

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Strong administration skills, ability to work accurately, with a high level of attention to detail and focus;
  • Organised, with good time management skills (able to juggle a wide range of tasks and priorities);
  • Highly flexible, adaptable and a team worker (no task is too small);
  • Proactive and has initiative (will identify and implement ways to improve efficiency and effectiveness within their remit);
  • Confidentiality must be second nature.
